THE man behind the “Hot Daddy” gigolo case is said to be receiving celebrity treatment from the public despite having been charged in court with offering sexual services, according to Berita Harian.
The behaviour of those who seemed to idolise the 32-year-old man known for his moniker “Hot Daddy” – whose real name is Hasli Ikhwan Arif Zul Hasli – has also drawn ire from other members of the public.
A one-minute video was recently circulated on social media showing several people being friendly with the man when he went out in public, even asking to take “wefies” with him.
On Jan 26, the father of three and his two girlfriends were charged with offering sexual services. According to the charge sheet, the three, who pleaded not guilty, had allegedly advertised sexual services on X.

Muhammad Shafiq, 49, who reverted to Islam in 2003 and married a Malay woman in 2017, returns to his hometown Kuching, Sarawak, every year to celebrate Chinese New Year with his family.
“We perform ceremonies as long as they do not conflict with Islamic laws.
“What is important is that I can show my mother (Bong Kit Moi, 75) that Islam does not break our family ties. It is a good example for other family members,” he said, reported Berita Harian.
Muhammad Shafiq, who owns a chicken rice restaurant, said when in his mother’s house, his wife Rosazlinda Omar, 47, would prepare meals in a separate kitchen reserved for halal cooking.
“However, this year is quite special as my mother flew in from Kuching to celebrate Chinese New Year at my wife’s family home in Lenggeng, Negri Sembilan.
“This year, I held a feast for my wife’s immediate family together with my mother and family from Kuching,” he said.
