Kapar crash: Witness tells of 'sudden and loud' impact followed by silence


KAPAR: The light aircraft crash here was "sudden and loud... then silence," says a witness to the incident.

Jinaidi Nasiran, 55 who was close to ground zero, said he was repairing his car at home when the incident occurred at about 2pm on Tuesday (Feb 13).

“I heard the sound of engines (getting) closer and closer... when I turned around, it (the aircraft) crashed to the ground.

“Then, silence...” he told reporters near the crash site at Kampung Tok Muda here.

Jinaidi said he rushed to the scene and saw that several villagers were already there.

When he reached the plane, he noticed that half the fuselage was in the ground, he added.

The aircraft was seen to be on fire before it crashed in Kg Tok Muda, Kapar.

The road to the crash site has since been cordoned off by the authorities, with police seen setting up a tent in the compound of a nearby house.
