THERE is a saying that the most “dangerous” place is the safest place.

A woman who believes this decided to keep 200,000 yuan (RM132,952) in cash in the rubbish bin at her shop in Anda City, Heilongjiang province in China.

According to China Press, the money was meant to purchase goods.

Her husband, who did not realise what she had done, emptied the rubbish at the community bin the next morning.

By the time the couple found out, it was already too late. It was then that the husband decided to call the police.

An investigation was launched, with police going through the footage of closed-circuit television cameras in the area.

In one of the recordings, the husband was seen dumping the trash at 5.46am.

Three minutes later, a homeless man was seen rummaging through the trash before leaving the site some eight minutes later.

Police eventually tracked him down before discovering the plastic bag containing the cash among the garbage.

They counted the money to ensure the amount was correct before returning the sum to the couple.

> Sin Chew Daily reported that three top TVB actors, Moses Chan, Kenneth Ma and Bosco Wong, celebrated the festive season with their families in Hong Kong as they took advantage of the crew holiday from the first to the third day of the Lunar New Year.

They are now filming Prism Breakers.

Ma, 50, who wed actress Roxanne Tong, 37, last year, also gave out ang pow as a husband for the first time this year.

Even as a bachelor then, Ma already had the habit of giving out red packets to his loved ones during the festivities.
