PETALAING JAYA: Actress and TV host Elly Arifin, who often receives sexually explicit messages on social media, has called for an end to the sexualisation of women, reported Harian Metro.
Elly, 35, said this mentality must change.
"I get lots of obscene comments every time I share a photo, even if it's an ordinary one," she said.
She added people should not see her as an "easy woman" just because she is a divorcee
Elly, who just finished filming for the Malang Si Puteri drama series, also said that she will not remarry just to avoid receiving lewd comments.
She stressed that now she is focussing on her career, family and herself.
