Over 3,000 guests attend Ayer Hitam CNY do

PETALING JAYA: About 3,000 people thronged the Chinese New Year open house hosted by Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

"It is so good to see a multi-racial crowd gathering at the celebration here tonight.

"We haven't forgotten to give back to the community, especially the less fortunate in our area," he said in a Facebook post on Friday (Feb 17).

The MCA president added that unity and multiculturalism is what makes Malaysians unique, a trait which should be treasured and protected.

Also present at the event were Semarang assemblyman and Johor deputy speaker Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali, Parit Yaani assemblyman Datuk Najib Samsuri and Bekok assemblyman Tan Chong.
