Perikatan appoints Eddin Syazlee Shith as coalition state adviser

SEREMBAN: Former Negri Sembilan Perikatan Nasional chief and Kuala Pilah MP Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith (pic) has been appointed the coalition’s state adviser.

The newly appointed state Perikatan chief, Mohamad Hanifah Abu Baker, said its state liaison committee decided this at a recent meeting.

"At the meeting, we also expressed our gratitude and appreciation to former state Perikatan chief Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu for his contributions.

"It was also decided that there will be a vice chairman from each component party in the state Perikatan leadership," he said in a statement on Saturday (Feb 17).

Perikatan is made up of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, PAS and Gerakan.

Mohamad Hanifah, who is a Labu assemblyman, said Muhammad Noraffendy Mohd Salleh had been appointed state secretary while Zaharuddin Baba Samion was appointed state information chief.

Muhammad Noraffendy had contested for the Jempol parliamentary seat in the last general election while Zaharuddin stood in Jelebu.

He said Danni Rais, the son of former Dewan Negara Speaker Tan Sri Rais Yatim, who contested the Klawang state seat, had been appointed Youth chief while Masita Mohd Ali was made State Wanita chief.
