Man charged with sexual assault of three teenage boys


MELAKA: A food peddler has claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to 10 counts of allegedly performing unnatural sex acts and molesting three teenage boys.

Yusri Nadin, 57, pleaded not guilty before Judge Azaraorni Abd Rahman yesterday.

Based on the charge, the accused had allegedly committed an unnatural sex act on a 13-year-old boy by having oral sex with him.He was charged under Section 377C of the Penal Code. If convicted, he can be jailed for up to 30 years and whipped.

The accused also faces another six charges of physical sexual assault by caressing the private parts of three boys, all 13 years of age, under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

If convicted, he could be jailed for up to 20 years and be liable for whipping.

He was also accused of forcing one of the victims to perform oral sex on another teen boy, which is an offence under Section 14 (b) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which could see him jailed for up to 20 years and caned upon conviction.

The accused was also charged with possessing pornographic videos of children performing sexual acts stored in three of his mobile phones.

The charge was framed under Section 10 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carries a jail term of not exceeding five years or a fine not exceeding RM10,000 or both upon conviction.

All the offences were allegedly committed at an oil palm estate, rubber plantation, and a shopping centre in Simpang Bekoh, Asahan, in the Jasin district between Aug 23, 2023 and February this year.

The court fixed March 28 for the next mention of the case.
