Gombak homeowner loses RM5,000 cash and valuables to burglars


GOMBAK: A homeowner lost over RM5,000 in cash and valuables in a break-in at Kampung Changkat here.

Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said a report of the incident was received on Monday (Feb 19).

"The homeowner said the incident occurred between 8am and 6.30pm while no one was home.

"The complainant said the house had been locked when he left at 8am but when he got home at 6.30pm, he noticed that the grille (gate) was open," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Feb 21).

He said there were also marks that indicated it had been prised open.

"The house was ransacked. Upon checking, the complainant realised that cash and jewellery had gone missing," he said.
