Several roads in Ipoh closed for Chap Goh Meh


IPOH: Several roads in the city will be closed off for a procession in conjunction with Chap Goh Meh this Saturday (Feb 24).

A spokesman from the Ipoh City Council said the affected areas would be between Ipoh Old Town and DR Seenivasagam Recreational Park, with roads to be closed between 6pm and 9pm.

"This is to ensure the decorated automobile procession can run smoothly," he said in a statement.

Among the roads involved included Jalan Sultan Yussof, Persiaran Bijeh Timah, Jalan Bandar Timah, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Jalan SP Seenivasagam, Jalan Kompleks Islam, Jalan Lim Bo Seng, Jalan Sultan Iskandar and Jalan Sultan Idris Shah.
