When contacted, Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim said that the fight occurred at a restaurant in Bukit Beruntung on Friday (Feb 23) around 4pm.

A drunken customer had entered the premises before causing a ruckus. Restaurant staff then removed him from the premises.

"Angry at being shooed away, the suspect then took a knife and acted aggressively. Several items and equipment in the restaurant were also destroyed.

"The suspect was successfully apprehended when the police arrived at the scene and has been brought to the police station for further investigation," he said.

The suspect, a local man, aged 42, was found to have six previous criminal offences.

He was also injured during the scuffle leading to him being taken to the hospital for treatment.

"Around six restaurant workers and the suspect were involved in the fight. It lasted around 20 to 30 minutes before the police reached the scene," he said.
