ACTOR Hisyam Hamid said he appreciated the differing views regarding the latest film he starred in, Berita Harian reported.

La Luna, directed by M. Raihan Halim, has sparked various public feedback since its release on Netflix.

“Each work presents a different perspective, and audiences also interpret it in their own way. I respect all differing opinions about this film.

“I would evaluate the character before accepting the role. I took up the role of Paat because it’s rarely portrayed on screen,” he said.

La Luna is a Singaporean and Malaysian comedy film, featuring Shaheizy Sam, Sharifah Amani, Wan Hanafi Su, Nadiya Nisaa, Nam Ron and many others.

Hisyam’s character, Paat, is depicted as an abusive husband who controls his wife

Hisyam, 38, said that discussions about the film intensified when it ranked first on the Top 10 Netflix chart for several days.

“This naturally elicited various reactions from the audience, which spiralled out of control,” he added.

Following public reactions, Hisyam called on local production companies to be more careful when showing sensitive scenes in their works.

“Even as an antagonist, the scene where I hit my partner was not explicitly shown, which was a good decision,” he added.

Jefriddin said that he developed this skill during secondary school after injuring his right hand while playing sepak takraw.

“I wanted to continue drawing despite my injury, so I began practising with my left hand. Over time, it became a habit,” Jefriddin said.

According to Jefriddin, he would usually use his left hand to sketch and complete a drawing with his right hand.

The religious teacher at Sekolah Agama Kampung Klias Kecil in Beaufort, Sabah, also said he temporarily quit drawing last year after the death of his mother.

“I was active again earlier this month after receiving support from my wife and TikTok followers,” he said.
