Malaysian fans confused by HK actor Kenneth Ma’s ‘aku makan' greeting


PETALING JAYA: Hong Kong actor Kenneth Ma fumbled with his Malay and made a faux pas by saying “aku makan” when greeting his Malaysian fans recently, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The 50-year-old, here to attend the opening of a G2000 outlet at The Exchange TRX, had wanted to say “apa khabar” but ended up blurting “aku makan” instead.

It left attendees confused as to what he was trying to say. However, he corrected himself after a few words from the event’s host, which led to cheers from fans.
