Rapid KL's MyCity pass for Malaysians to go up in price starting tomorrow

KUALA LUMPUR: The price of the RM5 unlimited one-day pass for users of trains and buses operated by Rapid Rail and Rapid Bus will go up by RM1 starting Friday (March 8).

In a statement on Thursday (March 7), Rapid Rail and Rapid Bus parent company Prasarana Malaysia Bhd said the price of the three-day pass remains at RM15.

"In line with the expansion of the rail network in Klang Valley with the full opening of the Putrajaya MRT line last year, as well as the impending opening of the Shah Alam LRT line next year, the price of the one-day MyCity pass will be adjusted," it said.

In order to encourage more foreigners to use public transport in Klang Valley, Prasarana is also reinstating the one-day and three-day passes for those without a Malaysian identity card.

For foreigners, the price of the passes will be RM10 and RM25 respectively.

The MyCity pass is valid for use on the MRT, LRT, BRT and buses operated by Rapid Bus in Klang Valley, including the MRT feeder buses.

The MyCity pass can be purchased at any Rapid Rail train station or selected bus hubs, other than online through the MyRapid PULSE app.

Further information can be obtained from the Rapid KL social media channels or by calling the Rapid KL customer service hotline at +603-7885 2585.
