Dr Wee wishes all Muslims ‘Salam Ramadan’, happy fasting

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong wishes all Muslims a peaceful Ramadan and happy fasting in a Facebook post on Monday (March 11).

On Sunday (March 9), the Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal, Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, announced that Muslims in Malaysia will begin fasting on Tuesday (March 12).

For Muslims, Ramadan is a time to purify hearts and clear minds by increasing righteous deeds.

In addition to abstaining from food and drink from sunrise until sunset, Muslims are encouraged to read the Quran and participate in the supplementary Tarawih prayers throughout the holy month.
