ACTRESS Ruhainies has come out to clarify that the situation with Singapore-born actor Aliff Aziz was not “close proximity” (khalwat), as claimed by many, Berita Harian reported.
Through a post on Instagram Story, Ruhainies expressed regret over a local media report claiming as such, and hoped that no further misleading reports would be published.
The 32-year-old actress reminded the media to be more careful with their headlines to avoid creating more speculation and confusion.
“It is absolutely not ‘close proximity’. I have yet to give any statement.
“Everything released in the media is not a statement from me nor accurate,” she wrote.
Ruhainies, or Nur Ruhainies Farehah Zainul Ilyas, hoped there will be no more articles that can incite provocation until an official statement regarding the alleged arrest for khalwat with Aliff is released.
On Saturday morning, Aliff, whose full name is Mohammad Aliff Aziz, 33, and Ruhainies were detained by Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) officers at a condominium in Kuala Lumpur.
