Auxiliary cop crushed to death by three vehicles on Second Link


ISKANDAR PUTERI: A 25-year-old auxiliary policeman was killed after he was run over by two motorcycles and a lorry at KM6.9 of the Second Link (southbound) here at 6.29am on Wednesday (March 13).

Acting Iskandar Puteri OCPD Supt Ibrahim Mat Som said that the victim was working at the Sultan Abu Bakar Customs, Immigration and Quarantine complex.

"Investigations revealed that the victim was riding his motorcycle and hit over a piece of precast concrete that fell off a lorry.

"The victim lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. Two motorcycles and another lorry from behind failed to evade the victim," he said in a statement.

The victim suffered serious injuries to the head and a broken right leg and was pronounced dead at the location.

"The body was taken to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) for a post-mortem examination," he said, adding that those who have information on the case are urged to call the Iskandar Puteri police hotline at 07-510 1322.
