Biker killed in three-vehicle accident in Kota Tinggi


KOTA TINGGI: A 38-year-old man has been killed in an accident involving three vehicles at KM12.5 Jalan Mawai-Tanjung Sedili here.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said police received a report about the incident at 9.30pm on Tuesday (March 12) from the public.

"The accident involved two cars and a motorcycle. The cars were driven by a 29-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man respectively.

"The deceased, who works as a security guard, was riding his motorcycle and suffered a serious head injury. He was pronounced dead at the location," he said in a statement on Wednesday (March 13).

Both car drivers were unharmed. The body of the victim was taken to the Kota Tinggi Hospital for a post-mortem examination, he said.

"The cause of the incident is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act 1987," he said.
