Tengku Amir was met on arrival by the chairman of Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (Yide) Tan Sri Mazlan Mansor as well as the top management of Yide and Raysas.

The presence of the Selangor prince clearly brought smiles to the 29 children yesterday, as His Highness also presented a pelikat sarong and cash of RM300 to each orphan (totalling RM8,700), as well as 100 kg of rice to the orphanage, Bernama reported.

Mazlan expressed hope that the donations would help the orphans prepare for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

He said, this year, Yide is also allocating almost RM1.7mil as Aidilfitri donations for 11,386 orphans from 6,388 families registered with Yide.

“The donations will be distributed to the orphans in stages starting tomorrow and Yide is committed to helping the orphans, especially in Selangor and Raysas, to celebrate Aidilfitri,” he added.
