LAST November, Panasonic Malaysia Air Conditioning launched their On Lah Jimat & Selamat Bila-Bila Masa campaign to highlight their inverter air conditioners.
This initiative coincides with the government’s implementation of an 8% SST on electricity usage that exceeds 600kWH per month effective March 1, up from the previous 6% rate.
“The Sustainability Achieved Via Energy Efficiency (SAVE) 4.0 initiative by the government provides households with up to RM400 in e-rebate upon purchasing energy-efficient air conditioners and refrigerators rated four or five stars in energy efficiency,” says Panasonic Air-Conditioning Malaysia marketing department manager Brian Hew.
“In line with the government’s push for higher adoption of energy-efficient appliances, we are committed to advocate this to our end users for long-term energy sustainability.
“That’s why we initiated this campaign,” he says.
Panasonic’s inverter air conditioner units are equipped with inverter technology designed to save energy without compromising comfort.
This technology utilises a compressor with a micro-computer which ensures precise temperature control – providing a comfortable environment while significantly reducing energy consumption.
Last weekend, Panasonic kicked off their roadshow at MyTown shopping centre in Cheras, KL. The roadshow will continue its journey to Johor Baru (March 15-17) and Penang (March 22-24) before returning to Kuala Lumpur at MITEC (March 29 to April 1).
The roadshow aims to provide visitors with an interactive educational experience, showcasing the advanced features of Panasonic’s inverter air conditioners.
“This roadshow serves as an educational platform and refresher course for end users.
“Considering the rising cost of living and the government’s introduction of new subsidy schemes, particularly targeting electricity bills, it’s evident that electricity costs will likely increase in the near future.
“Therefore, we aim to reiterate the benefits of air conditioning.
“Being one of the most energy-consuming appliances in homes, we want to educate consumers about the power of inverter technology and the additional benefits our air conditioners offer, such as air purification, fast cooling, and out-of-home Wi-Fi control,” shares Hew.
A visual demonstration was set up to showcase the inverter technology in action, demonstrating its efficiency and effectiveness against a non-inverter unit in maintaining a comfortable indoor climate while reducing energy consumption.
Another demonstrated how the nanoe X technology worked in decreasing the strong smell from pet food in an enclosed room by absorbing hydrogen molecules.
The event had various stations to encourage participation by visitors who got to ask questions and delve deeper into the benefits of adopting inverter technology in their homes.
“We encourage customers to come and experience our products firsthand. Seeing is believing; they need to immerse themselves in the experience to truly understand the benefits and technology we offer,” says Panasonic Malaysia Sdn Bhd marketing communication department head Stella Lim.
“By trying our products, customers can better appreciate our innovations and how they contribute to energy savings – ultimately reducing electricity costs.”
As families continue to prioritise health, comfort, and sustainability, Panasonic’s inverter air conditioners come as an attractive option.
By combining innovative features such as precise temperature control, energy efficiency, advanced air purification and fast cooling (iAuto-X), these air conditioners cater to the evolving needs of modern households.
In addition to energy efficiency, Panasonic has also integrated nanoe X technology into their air conditioners, offering an additional layer of protection for families.
With its ability to inhibit the coronavirus particles by up to 99.99%* and suppress the activity of viruses and bacteria, nanoe X ensures that the air circulated within homes is not only cooler but also cleaner and safer – providing 24-hour protection against harmful pathogens.
The educational roadshow served as a platform for Panasonic to showcase their commitment to innovation and sustainability while empowering consumers to make informed choices for their families.
Panasonic will be offering aTouch’n Go ewallet rebate for customers who purchase inverter air conditioner models until the end of the campaign period.
Customers also stand a chance to get a rebate of up to RM150, according to Lim.
Furthermore, customers purchasing an inverter model at the Absolut Bazaar, MITEC KL roadshow will have the delivery and installation cost waived, with terms and conditions applying.
As consumers are now looking for energy efficient options to stay cool while keeping electricity bills down, the benefits of inverter air conditioners present a promising solution in enhancing their quality of life.
