Dr Wee visits housing project in Yong Peng to look into nearby residents' complaints

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong kept up his busy schedule during his visit to Yong Peng, Johor, with a visit to the Taman Perdana housing development project construction site.

"The local residents were complaining to me about the trucks that are commuting through the inner roads in Taman Perdana, especially Jalan Abdul Aziz, which has become a safety hazard to them," said Dr Wee in a Facebook post Friday (March 15).

"I understand the concerns of the residents as their safety should be prioritised," added the Ayer Hitam MP when visiting the site with Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon.

Dr Wee said he would bring along Public Works Department officers to return to the site this Sunday (March 17) to find alternative solutions to these safety issues.

He thanked the officers from Yong Peng District Council for being present at the site during his visit.

"They were there in spite of Friday being an off day for civil servants in Johor," added Dr Wee.
