A FEMALE student’s appeal to let her pass her exams so that she will not get married off has gone viral in India, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The student had written her plea on the answer sheets.

The unnamed person is reported to be one of the 1.7 million students sitting for the Grade 10 exam (SPM equivalent) in the north Indian state of Bihar.

In her answer sheets, the student explained that she is from a poor family and her father could not afford her education.

The student wrote that if she failed the exam, her father would marry her off.

She pleaded for a passing mark so that she could continue her education, escape poverty and have a better future.
