Siti Dhia Batrisyia sent for check-up at HKL, say cops


KUALA LUMPUR: Twelve-year-old Siti Dhia Batrisyia Mohd Chairil Anuar has been sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a check-up, says Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya.

"It is a precaution to ensure that the girl is alright," he said in a statement on Sunday (March 17).

He added that the police have recorded the statements of eight individuals to assist the investigation, which will be completed soon.

Siti Dhia Batrisyia was reported missing on Tuesday (March 12) and was found safe while walking alone near a shoplot in Sri Rampai at 2.28am on Sunday (March 17) morning.

Her mother Syarifah Rosfazila Syed Muhammad Fazili shared the news in an update on her Facebook account at 6.45am on Sunday.

With all the prayers and help from everyone, my daughter has been found safe. She was found walking alone at 2.28am,” she said.

Syarifah Rosfazila also expressed her gratitude to everyone, including Dang Wangi police personnel, for their effort to locate her daughter

ACP Noor Dellhan said the victim's mother lodged a missing person report at about 9.56am on Thursday (March 14).

"The girl was reported missing at the Jalan San Peng public housing area.

"We deployed a special squad to track down the child as soon as the report was lodged. We received several positive leads in the course of the investigation until the information that she was spotted in Taman Sri Rampai," he said.

ACP Noor Dellhan said the police squad met with the area's neighbourhood watch to get further information.

"While they were there, the victim's mother contacted the police to inform them that the public had found Siti Dhia Batrisyia wandering around. We deployed personnel to the scene and discovered the girl was unhurt and safe," he said.
