KUCHING: Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB) is ramping up efforts to ensure continuous electricity supply during the upcoming Hari Raya celebration, says its group CEO Datuk Sharbini Suhaili.

"We are ensuring that our operating systems are functioning efficiently and that contingency measures are in place to enable effective restoration of power in the event of an outage," he said.

Speaking at a buka puasa gathering for SEB stakeholders here on Thursday (March 21), Sharbini said the state utility company also welcomed public cooperation to report any suspicious activities at its electricity facilities.

He said complaints on matters such as supply disruption or damaged cables could be lodged by contacting SEB's customer service centre or via the SEB Cares app.

"Your cooperation is greatly appreciated," he said.

Sharbini also reiterated SEB's commitment to ensure access to sustainable, renewable and affordable energy for Sarawakians.

He said SEB not only offered competitive electricity tariffs but was making continued efforts towards sustainable growth and environmental stewardship.

"This commitment extends to our social investment in education, environmental conservation and community development," he added.

Sharbini later handed over contributions to representatives of local mosques, suraus and charitable organisations.
