THE Malaysia Makkal Sakthi Party (MMSP) and MIC are jointly organising a conference aimed at addressing the historical narrative of the Tamil community here, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The narrative that Tamils came to this country only as labourers is historically inaccurate, said MMSP president Datuk Seri RS Thanenthiran, adding, that many of them came from Tamil Nadu as businessmen and soldiers.

He encouraged the Tamil community to actively participate in the conference to be held at the reconsecrated Sivalingesvarar Temple in Sungai Petani, Kedah, to gain a new perspective on their historical journey in Malaysia.

> A man named George Bush from Tamil Nadu was arrested for the murder of his father over a property dispute, Malaysia Nanban also reported.

Mathusoothanan, 68, disagreed with George Bush’s demands that he should solely inherit his father’s house. They had been arguing for 10 days when the matter escalated into a fatal fight.
