Padu’s flaws are Rafizi's failures, says Puad

KUALA LUMPUR: The flaws of the Central Database Hub (Padu) are Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli's failures, says Datuk Dr Puad Zarkashi.

The Umno supreme council member said Rafizi was known as the "Formula King," but this time his formulas did not work.

"Previously, Rafizi was known for saying BN (Barisan Nasional) caused price hikes, (Datuk Seri) Najib (Razak) was associated with 1MDB and 1MDB was associated with Najib.

"Now, he (Rafizi) is feeling the karma of what he did," Puad said in a Facebook post Sunday (March 24).

He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had also asked Rafizi to explain the issues on Padu to the Cabinet.

"The Sarawak government has openly given its negative feedback towards Padu, even describing it as exposing oneself naked online, as said by one of the state's ministers," he said.

Puad also questioned whether the delivery system of the people's welfare would be disrupted and further thrown into disarray.

On Saturday (March 23), Anwar asked Rafizi to clarify Padu registration issues at the Cabinet meeting.

He said this followed concerns raised by Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg about the system.
