Several trees toppled by strong winds in KL


KUALA LUMPUR: Several trees in four areas here have been toppled by strong winds, says the Fire and Rescue Department.

In a statement on Thursday (March 28), the department said fallen trees were reported in eight areas.

At least five cars were damaged near the Bukit Jalil Sports School, while two vehicles were hit by a falling tree on Jalan Tasik Utama 6 in Medan Niaga.

Incidents were also reported on Jalan Radin and Jalan 2/127 off Jalan Kuchai Lama, where one and two cars were damaged respectively.

In Jalan Radin Anum in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, four cars were damaged, including two at a camping site.

The department added that there no injuries reported.
