Couple killed after motorcycle crashes into car in Seremban

SEREMBAN: A couple was killed after their motorcycle crashed into a car along Persiaran Forest Heights 1 near here.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Hatta Che Din said victims aged 29 and 23 were killed on the spot due to serious head injuries in the 7.20am accident on Monday (April 1).

He said preliminary investigations showed that a car driven by a 19-year-old woman had turned right into a junction to get to a college in Persiaran Forest Heights 2 when the crash happened.

"The driver was coming from Seremban Jaya and was headed to the college when the couple, who were coming from the opposite direction, crashed into the left side of her vehicle.

"The remains of the couple were then taken to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital for post-mortem," he said in a statement.

ACP Mohamad Hatta said the car driver was not injured in the incident.

He urged eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Tiew Chuan Jie at 014-9668399 or the nearest police station to assist in investigations.

The case is being probed under section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
