Former Sabah Muda chairman applies to join DAP

KOTA KINABALU: Former Sabah Muda chairman Amos Thien Tze Tin says it took a year for him to decide on joining DAP.

The former Sabah Muda chairman, who relinquished his Muda membership in October 2023, said his decision was made after working with DAP’s Luyang assemblyman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe and Sandakan MP Vivian Wong.

Thien added that he had submitted his membership application to DAP Youth chief Dr Kelvin Yii on March 17 during a party retreat in Kuala Lumpur.

Describing his decision to join DAP as personal, the 35-year-old businessman said he does not intend to “persuade or influence others to follow suit”.

Wishing Sabah Muda “all the best”, Thien added that Faezrah Rizalman had since been appointed as Sabah Muda chairman.
