ISKANDAR PUTERI: A 35-year-old man has been arrested over a fight believed to have been trigged by jealousy.
Iskandar Puteri acting OCPD Supt Ibrahim Mat Som said the fight occurred at a petrol station in Bukit Indah here.
He said the arrest was made after a 26-year-old man involved in the fight had lodged a police report.
“A video of the fight was uploaded on social media on Saturday showing a fight between two men and a woman.
“In the report, the victim claimed that he was hit by the woman’s husband.
“An interrogation of the two men revealed the fight occurred due to jealousy,” he said in a statement.
The suspect was arrested while driving on the Kota Iskandar Highway for investigation under Sections 323 and 506 of the Penal Code for causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
“We will apply for a remand at the Johor Baru court,” Supt Ibrahim added.
The 46-second video in question was posted on Facebook, which had showed an unidentified individual punching another man and woman at a petrol station.
