Sarawak Governor Wan Junaidi, wife to host open house at Astana on first day of Raya

KUCHING: Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi will hold a Hari Raya open house at the Astana here on the first day of the celebration.

They will receive ministers, MPs, state assemblymen, other dignitaries, department heads and the public from 9am to 4.30pm.

"In conjunction with the festive occasion, the Head of State and his wife would like to wish Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir batin to all Muslims in Sarawak," the Astana said in a statement on Monday (April 8).

"Members of the public who wish to attend the open house are reminded to be properly attired," it added.

The first day of Hari Raya is expected to fall on Wednesday (April 10).
