Kelantan MB thanks Putrajaya for RM58.6mil wang ihsan

KOTA BARU: The Kelantan government conveyed its gratitude to the Federal Government for disbursing RM58.6mil in Wang Ihsan (goodwill grant) last week.

Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud expressed hope that the disbursement of the grant would proceed according to scheduled payments, aligning with federal principles and ethos.

He emphasised that the state government is always transparent in allocating funds for the welfare of the Kelantanese people.

"The Wang Ihsan is allocated in the state Budget, and all receipts and expenditures in the state Budget are audited by the National Audit Department.

"On this occasion, representing the state government leadership, I extend Hari Raya Aidilfitri greetings and Maaf Zahir dan Batin to the Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) and the entire Malaysian populace," he said in a statement on Tuesday (April 9).

Yesterday, the federal government disbursed RM172.3mil in Wang Ihsan to the Terengganu government and RM58.6mil to Kelantan the previous week to fulfill the state governments’ emolument commitments. - Bernama
