Iran's attack on Israel: Wisma Putra must monitor safety of Malaysians, says Fadillah

KUCHING: The Foreign Ministry (Wisma Putra) needs to be ready to monitor the safety of Malaysians in high-risk countries after Iran launched explosive drones and fired missiles at Israel on Saturday (April 13).

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof (pic) said this included monitoring the whereabouts of Malaysians.

"Wisma Putra needs to always watch the development of this incident from time to time and, if necessary, take action to evacuate Malaysians from any places at risk of a war breaking out.

"I would like to advise Malaysians to avoid going to high-risk places, be it Iran or any nearby countries,” he said after attending Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman's Aidilfitri open house here on Sunday (April 14).

Anadolu Agency said Iranian state television reported on Saturday that the Revolutionary Guards Corps initiated a drone operation targeting targets in territories occupied by Israel. – Bernama
