KUALA LUMPUR: Focus on your state before commenting on others, unity government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil tells Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.
“Instead of poking his nose in other states, he should make himself busy by completing all the projects he announced in Kedah.
“It is different with the Selangor Mentri Besar, where whatever has been announced was fulfilled. Kedah Mentri Besar should just remain silent. He also has an ongoing sedition case involving the Sultan of Selangor,” he said in a press conference on Tuesday (April 23).
Fahmi said this when asked about Sanusi’s claims that Perikatan Nasional would widen the “cracks” between Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional.
Sanusi claimed there were cracks within the unity government after Barisan component parties reportedly expressed their disinterest in participating in the campaign for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election if the candidate did not come from the coalition.
The Election Commission announced that the Kuala Kubu Baharu nomination day would be held on April 27, while the polling was scheduled for May 11.
The by-election is being held following the death of DAP assemblyman Lee Kee Hiong on March 21.
Meanwhile, Fahmi advised any individuals seeking clarification over the government's decision to scrap the Petaling Jaya Dispersal Link (PJD Link) Expressway highway project to refer to the government and Works Ministry’s statement.
The Lembah Pantai MP said this in response to former Cabinet minister Khairy Jamaluddin, who in his podcast, “Keluar Sekejap,” questioned the lack of detailed information regarding compensation to the developer and alternative solutions to address traffic issues following the cancellation.
On April 17, Fahmi announced the Cabinet’s decision to discontinue discussions with the PJD Link developer after they failed to fulfil the conditions precedent contained in the concession agreement (CA) to enable the agreement to take effect.
The PJD Link was a proposed 25.4km dual-lane elevated expressway connecting Damansara to Bandar Kinrara in Selangor.
