Graphic designer wins RM600,000 condo in Majoriti Langgan & Menang 2023 campaign

SHAH ALAM: Graphic designer Roslizam Ramlee has won the grand prize in the Majoriti Langgan & Menang campaign and is now the proud owner of a condominium unit worth RM602,800 at Lea by the Hills residence developed by OSK Property Holdings Bhd.

A devout fan of Star Media Group (SMG) platforms, Roslizam said he renewed his subscription to Majoriti after hearing about the campaign on Suria FM in 2023.

"I did not think that I would win the grand prize.

"Obviously, I am surprised and happy. My family ... (is also) ecstatic about the news as well. I have yet to decide what I will do with the unit," said the 44-year-old after the prize-giving ceremony at OSK Mori Park Sales Gallery here on Tuesday (April 30).

From Aug 17 to Dec 20 last year, new and current readers of Majoriti stood a chance to win grand prizes as well as weekly prizes with a RM30 one-year subscription plan.

Another winner, Jeevarupini Gnanendran, who won RM25,000 worth of AEON Co (M) Bhd vouchers, said she plans to buy a new fridge.

The 34-year-old from Ara Damansara also said she did not expect the call from the Majoriti team after subscribing in September last year.

"I was aiming for the house, but the second prize is just as great because we often shop at AEON," she said.

The winner of the Taiwan holiday package for two, Amri Abd Aziz, said he subscribed to Majoriti because he wanted the Chef Wan vouchers, which he said were worth more than the RM30 subscription fee.

"Coincidentally, my wife and I were planning a family vacation, so this is a windfall for us," he said.

Star Media Group Bhd (SMG) group chief executive officer Chan Seng Fatt said there had been a significant increase in subscription and engagement, which confirmed Majoriti's role as a lifestyle beacon for readers.

"The surge of readers goes beyond numbers. It reflects a deep-seated trust in our ability to deliver thoughtful and engaging content.

"The goal of the Langgan & Menang campaign is to transform the everyday act of reading into a rewarding experience for readers.

"Every element, from the accessible one-year subscription plan to the exhilarating weekly prizes, was designed with our readers in mind, making every interaction with Majoriti a delight," he said.

Other winners of the campaign were Nooraini Mohd Noor, who won a holiday package to Taiwan for two worth RM10,000, while Karyn Ong and Agnes Lee Yin Seong won the third prize consisting of Ogawa massage chairs worth RM19,999, respectively.

The other second-prize winner is Ahmad Syamil Ahmad Termizi, who brought home RM25,000 worth of AEON vouchers.

Also present at the event were OSK Property Holdings Berhad chief executive officer Ong Ghee Bin, AEON Co (M) Bhd chief merchandise and marketing officer Low Ngai Yuen, Ogawa Malaysia head of marketing Lee Sin Yen, Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company marketing and category director Zakiah Hanim, Chef Wan Group of Restaurants PR customer service and marketing manager Natasha Nazri and Spectrum Outdoor Marketing Sdn Bhd managing director Henry Low.
