Weaver chops off wife’s hand with a cleaver

A MAN in India used a cleaver to chop off his wife’s hand after he caught her talking to her lover on the phone, Makkal Osai reported.

Sekar, 41, who is a weaver, and his wife Revathi, 35, from Vellor, Tamil Nadu, have three daughters.

He found out a few months ago that his wife was having an affair and warned her to put an end to it.

A few days ago, he caught her in a video call with someone and when questioned, she did not answer properly, which led to an argument.

Sekar, who was enraged by this, suddenly grabbed a cleaver and chopped off Revathi’s right hand.

Neighbours who heard her screams rushed to help the woman and sent her to a hospital for treatment.

Sekar reportedly turned himself in at the local police station where he was detained.
