MELAKA: A Primary Three pupil of SJK(T) Kubu here who started to play with Lego toy bricks as a toddler has completed 80 creations over the years.
Among the more impressive sets nine-year-old Shanjeevan Devan Raj had completed were "London Bus", "Vespa 125", "Amazing Spiderman" and "Taj Mahal".
"Lego is an amazing world for me," said Shanjeevan, who wants to become a scientist when he grows up.
His mother Vishalini Sankaran, 47, said the boy's Lego love affair began when she gave Shanjeevan a Duplo set on his second birthday.
"I noticed my son's accuracy and precision was exceptional and decided to encourage him to continue and now he is taking up the challenge to build more advanced and expert level sets meant for adults," she said in an interview on Monday (May 2).
Vishalini, who was from Bukit Beruang here, said Shanjeevan took between four to six hours to complete each set with the toughest piece he managed to complete being the "Globe", as it was quite complex.
Vishalini said her husband Devan Raj, 52, bought more Lego sets for Shanjeevan due to their son's intense interest in the toy brick sets.
"We have also made a special cabinet at our home to display Shanjeevans' pieces," she added.
When asked, Shanjeevan said he hoped to be added to the Malaysia Book of Records as the youngest Malaysian to complete the most number of adult Lego creations by the age of 11-year-old.
