Wangsa Maju JPJ remains open despite damage due to storm

SEPANG: A section of the Wangsa Maju Road Transport Department (JPJ) branch will be closed after its roof began leaking during a storm on Tuesday (May 7).

Its deputy director general (planning and operations), Aedy Fadly Ramli, said the Kuala Lumpur JPJ was preparing a report on the estimated damage.

"They will hand it over to JPJ Headquarters on Wednesday (May 8)," he said when met at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Tuesday.

He said the branch would remain open according to its normal operating hours.

A 19-second video of the incident has since gone viral.

The video shows water flowing from the ceiling of the building and onto several counters.

The water also leaked on several desks which had computer monitors and printers.
