SOCIAL media users slammed actress Afifah Nasir for wearing a wedding dress that was apparently too sexy, Kosmo! reported.

“Anzalna’s (her sister’s) wedding dress was more beautiful and polite.

“The bride’s dress is way too sexy and the wrong choice of designer,” said one user.

“There are some laws in Islamic marriages. Brides must wear something covered even if they don’t want to wear the hijab,” said another.

The Cik Misi 123 actress was also criticised for her makeup, which was compared to that of Mona Fandey, the controversial murderer who was executed decades ago.

Afifah’s gown was created by international fashion designer Zuhair Murad and her make-up was done by professional make-up artist Khir Khalid, during a private ceremony on April 6 at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

> A single mother lost RM108,540 after falling for a cryptocurrency scam, Harian Metro reported.

Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said the victim signed up for a stock investment plan in early March last year, which promised large earnings, through the social media platform Instagram.

The victim, a 37-year-old clerk, made 27 transactions totalling RM109,540 to 15 different bank accounts, according to a report lodged at the Kuantan district police headquarters.

“After the suspect demanded multiple additional payments for the investment before the victim could realise a profit, the victim began to suspect that she had been deceived,” Yahaya said in a statement.

The police chief added that the case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating.
