Indonesian worker killed in Serendah construction site mishap


PETALING JAYA: An Indonesian construction worker died after a landslip at a worksite.

When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said the incident occurred Thursday (May 9) morning at Jalan Taman Ros, Serendah.

A response team was dispatched after the emergency call was received at 10.31am.

“The victim, an Indonesian man in his 20s, fell about 3m (from the landslip) as workers were performing work at the site,” he said.

He added that the victim’s death was confirmed by responding medical officers.
