"We are on duty, before, during and after the by-election.

"We are committed to ensuring the safety of all, especially the voters," he told reporters after attending the Autism Day event at the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM)/Pengaman Autism Centre in the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) on Saturday (May 11).

The IGP said the police have a lot of experience in maintaining law and order during the by-elections.

"Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan is the commander on the ground (for the by-election).

"I too will go down soon to monitor the situation and deployment of personnel," he said.
