Xiamen University Malaysia and CECCM strengthen partnership with MoU signing

SEPANG: Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) and the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster talent development and other initiatives.

Among others, the two parties will engage in comprehensive cooperation in talent development, scientific and technological innovation, industrial services, internships and training to achieve mutual development and make new contributions to building a China-Malaysia community with a shared vision.

The signed MoU further strengthens the ties between XMUM and CECCM, along with its member units.

The ceremony was attended by XMUM president Prof Dr Wang Ruifang, CECCM president Ni Qingjiu, CECCM council members, representatives from its member units, relevant leaders and XMUM department heads.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia and the "China-Malaysia Friendship Year".

Both XMUM and CECCM share the common mission of promoting friendly exchanges between China and Malaysia.

With a growing number of Chinese enterprises venturing into Malaysia for development, the demand for various types of high-quality talents is increasing. According to statistics, CECCM currently has over 300 member units of various types.

Since its establishment, XMUM has placed great importance on offering university programmes that align with the talent market and enterprise needs. It is committed to playing a vital role in school-enterprise cooperation, providing graduates with more and better internship and employment opportunities and career development space, and offering enterprises with robust intellectual and technological support.
