Three girls missing in Ranau, last seen entering a car with mystery man


KOTA KINABALU: Police are urging those with information on three girls who went missing in the Ranau district on Friday (May 10), who were last seen entering a car with an unknown man.

The three girls from Kampung Kaingaran, namely Valensia Mail, 15; Roxanne Abbygail Richard and Christivy Holyen Hamdy, both aged 12, had gone for a silat training session at their school in Ranau on Friday morning but failed to return home.

However, the girls were spotted in Ranau town on Monday (May 13) getting into a vehicle with an unknown man.

Ranau district police chief Deputy Supt Simiun Lomudin said Tuesday (May 14) that police only received a missing persons report from one of the girl's family at 8.48pm on Monday (May 13).

He said investigations also revealed that the three girls were last seen in public at about 8.30am on Monday (May 13) in Ranau town getting off a white minibus.

"The three girls were seen following a man into a car which was using a fake number plate," he said.

Those with information are urged to contact the Ranau district police headquarters at 088-875 222 or the nearest police station.
