Sg Besar house razed, two cars destroyed in early morning blaze


KUALA LUMPUR: A wooden house in Sungai Besar, Selangor was razed in an early morning fire that also destroyed two cars.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the incident occurred at Kampung Hala Cara Baru, Sungai Panjang in Sungai Besar at 3.17am on Wednesday (May 22).

"Firemen brought the fire under control at 3.59am.

"It took about 90 minutes to extinguish the flames and the house was 95% burnt," he said when contacted.

The occupants – an 80-year-old woman, a 33-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman, two boys aged seven and nine as well as a six-month-old baby girl – were unhurt, he added.
