Cops hunting man who robbed woman motorcyclist in Seremban

SEREMBAN: Police are looking for a motorcyclist who snatched a gold bangle from a woman motorcyclist who was returning home with her two children in Taman Bandar Senawang near here.

The suspect committed the act knowing well that it could have endangered the lives of the 33-year-old woman who was riding with her two young children.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Hatta Che Din said a 15-second clip of the incident which happened around Thursday noon (May 23) has since gone viral.

"The crime was captured on a CCTV of a premises in the area.

"The man snatched the victim's gold bangle and escaped," he said.

In the clip, the suspect can be seen coming from behind and snatching the victim’s gold bangle.

He then made a u-turn and escaped. The woman gave chase but was unable to catch up.

ACP Mohamad Hatta said the victims were fortunate to have escaped injury as the woman did not lose control of her motorcycle.

Police have launched a probe under Section 392 of the Penal Code for robbery.

He urged eyewitnesses or anyone with information on the case to contact investigating officer Insp Muhammad Faizal Mohd Zaini at 013-3611854 or the district police station at 06-6033222.
