Give Faisal Halim space to recover, says Selangor MB

PETALING JAYA: All parties are urged to respect Selangor FC player Faisal Halim' privacy and give him space to recover, says Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said Faisal's recovery will take time due to the extensive treatment his injuries require.

"Faisal was discharged on Friday (May 26)," he said, adding that he will need a medical all-clear before he can resume training.

"But for the time being, he needs time," he was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.

He said this after the conclusion of the Selangor Turath Islami Festival 2024 Opening Ceremony at Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque here on Sunday (May 26).

Faisal was discharged after undergoing four operations and spending three weeks in hospital.

The national player previously suffered fourth-degree burns after being attacked with acid at a shopping mall in Kota Damansara on May 5.

Earlier reports stated that the 26-year-old needs three to six months to recover before he can return to action.
