PETALING JAYA: Asset maintenance and replacement works at the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant (SSP1) have reached 63.1% completion as of 3pm Wednesday (June 5), says Air Selangor.
In a press release issued at 3.30pm, Air Selangor said work was proceeding on schedule to meet the expected completion time of 7pm.

“Water supply is expected to be distributed to consumers in stages starting from 3am on Thursday (June 6) after works are completed and the main water supply distribution system has stabilised.
“The duration of this water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure at the distribution system,” it said.

Air Selangor said it expected water supply recovery in the affected areas to reach approximately 20% at 3pm on Thursday, 90% at 3am on Friday (June 7), and full recovery by noon that day.
It also said 105 mobile and 95 static water tankers had been sent to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral homes.
