Policewoman kills drunk and abusive husband

A POLICEWOMAN in Tamil Nadu, India, was arrested after stabbing to death her drunk husband, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Mangalaletchumi, 30, and Seenivasan, 35, a marketing executive, lived in Chennai with their son.

Seenivasan reportedly would get drunk and fight with his wife daily. Recently, the inebriated husband came home and started beating his wife, who grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the stomach.

Neighbours who heard the commotion helped get the heavily bleeding Seenivasan to a local hospital before he was transferred to a district hospital in Kilpauk for further treatment.

The authorities arrested Mangalaletchumi and changed the case from assault to murder after Seenivasan died the next day.> SJK (T) Kampong Baru Batu Matang emerged overall champions in a chess competition for primary schools in the Simpang sub-district in Perak, Malaysia Nanban also reported.

Harini Navarasan, 12, topped the girls’ category while her schoolmate Senjalina Natasha came in third.

Thirty girls from nine schools competed in their category.
