Winners of 'real estate Oscars' honoured at special luncheon


PETALING JAYA: The Housing and Local Government Ministry has held a special luncheon for the gold award winners at the esteemed FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence Awards from 2014 to 2024.

Its minister Nga Kor Ming said that the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) award is like the "Oscars for real estate".

"For the first time in the 30 years, the government honours 21 Malaysian real estate developers who have won a total of 35 gold awards," he said during his speech here on Friday (June 7).

Nga said that the international recognition shows local developers' capability and commitment to provide sustainable and high-quality housing.

"It also proves that local developers can stand shoulder to shoulder with leading developers worldwide," he said.

He said that Malaysian developers clinched six gold awards in 14 categories during the FIABCI World Prix D'excellence Awards 2024 held in Singapore on May 30.

The winners were SkyAwani 3 Residences Project (SkyWorld Development Berhad) for Affordable Housing Category; Tamarind Square Project (Tujuan Gemilang Sdn Bhd) for Mixed-Use Category; Parc3 @ KL South (Eupe Corporation Berhad) for High-Rise Residential Category; Queens Residences Q1 (Ideal Property Group) for Mid-Rise Residential Category; Saujana Duta (IJM Land Berhad) for Low-Rise Residential Category; and Pavilion Bukit Jalil (Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Sdn Bhd) for Retail Category.
