GEORGE TOWN: Picking the right higher educational path is no easy task, except when you have the Star Education Fair 2024 to help you choose the best.

The ongoing fair held at Setia Spice Convention Centre has been the go-to fair for one's tertiary education needs for years.

The two-day fair, organised by Star Media Group, which ends on Sunday (June 9), includes a full lineup of talk sessions, one-on-one interactions and exciting offers from 108 booths with 55 educators.

The fair has something for everyone even if you are still on the fence about your field of choice.

Talks on Saturday (June 8) include representatives from various fields and electives.

Receive insight at the "Beyond the Classroom: How Education Shapes Your Future" by Sukarelawan Siswa Student Volunteers conducted by Izuan Faiz from 12.30pm to 1pm.

Then join in for an insightful educational talk session by Asia Pacific University lecturer Nicholas Teh who will delve into "Exploring The World Of Digital Technology: Careers In Computer Science and Software Engineering" and uncover the transformative impact of education in today's world at 1pm.

This is followed by an enlightening educational talk by Han Chiang University College of Communication on "Supply Chain Analytics: A Trending Skill in Today’s World" by CILT Programme Manager Lim Wooi Chin at 1.30pm.

Learn about media at 2pm with a talk by INTI International University and Colleges media and communications programme head Muhamad Amirul Faiz Abd Ghani who will speak on "The Media Matrix: Navigating Mass Communication, Digital Media, and Animation".

Get insight on education opportunities at the University of Saint Joseph at a talk by its International Recruitment Department Official Andrew Lu titled "Education and Economic Prospect in Macao - Study at USJ" at 2.30pm.

Expand your understanding of AI's transformative power at a talk by Segi University with a session titled "Demystifying Artificial Intelligence: What You Need to Know" by its Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment and IT programme leader Eric Kong at 3pm.

Do not miss out on an insightful session by TAR-UMT Department of Accountancy and Business Programme Leader Tan Shi Yee as she speaks on "The Future of Accountancy" at 4pm.

End the round up of talks with Wawasan Open University at their talk titled "The Impact of Digital Business on Talent Development in Malaysia" by its School of Digital Technology programme lead Dr Lau Pei Mey at 4.30pm.

Earlier the talks were kickstarted by UCSI University's Biotechnology, Applied Microbiology, Aquatic Science and Aquaculture Head of Department Dr Chew Li Lee with a talk titled "The Future of Applied Sciences: Innovations and Opportunities" giving one the chance to explore the cutting-edge advancements shaping our world at 11.30am.

Then visitors dove into the idea of a "Diploma at Universiti Malaya" to take your first step towards your academic success with a talk by UM Centre for Continued Education Executive Director Dr Azni Taha at noon.

The Star Education Fair 2024 is held side-by-side with the myStar Job Fair 2024 at the convention centre this weekend from 11am to 7pm ending Sunday (June 8).

Admission is free with an attractive door gift and stand a chance to win attractive lucky draw prizes as well.
