Works Minister orders urgent inspection of cracks on KL flyover


PETALING JAYA: A huge crack at a flyover near Jalan Cheras in Kuala Lumpur has caught the attention of Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

He said he has instructed the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) and Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway (SPE) concessionaire to immediately inspect the site that night (June 7) to conduct evaluations and checks.

"I take this matter very seriously," he said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday (June 7).

Nanta emphasised that the safety of everyone, especially road users, must be prioritised.

He also reposted a message on X that highlighted the cracks on the flyover.

"Are the cracks on the flyover getting bigger," the post read.

The post included two pictures to show a comparison of the flyover's condition in April and its current state.
